WOOD FINISHING MASTERCLASS
Harry Morris is a young traditional woodworker who has travelled the world in pursuit of understanding his craft. Recently he journeyed to Japan in order to understand Japanese traditional craft, disciplines and philosophical concepts surrounding woodwork and furniture design. His passion for wood, craft and sustainability is unmatched. He is also an advocate for preserving the use of hand tools and historic heritage crafts.
In this wonderful 1-day course, you will learn about different types of finishes and stains, what they are, how to apply them and in what situation you might want to use them. You will need to bring along a chair frame to practice these finishing techniques on. This will also give you the fantastic opportunity to learn from your fellow student's projects in the class.
Gain confidence and knowledge on how to make informed decisions when choosing a finish for your project and new skills in applying finishes. There will be an emphasis on learning about and using traditional finishes.
