Print & Upholster
a collaborative Masterclass with Jessie De Sallis

BESPOKE SCREEN PRINT AND UPHOLSTERY
3 DAY MASTERCLASS
with JESSIE DE SALIS & LEIGH-ANNE TREADWELL
Early Bird Price £525
Jessie & Leigh-Anne had a wonderful Day last summer, dreaming up this collaborative 3 day Print & Upholstery experience for students to enjoy the best of both worlds.
During this BRAND NEW (!) 3 Day Masterclass, you will design, print, and upholster your own bespoke chair.
This is a rare opportunity to learn two crafts side-by-side and leave with a beautifully reimagined chair that is entirely your own.
As each participant will print up to 3 metres of fabric, Jessie’s printing tables accommodate three people at a time. This means there are 3 places available on Saturday, 6th June and 3 places on Sunday, 7th June for the printing day in Somerset.
All participants will then come together a couple of weeks later on 20th and 21st June at Bristol Upholstery Collective, where we’ll work as a group of 6 to upholster the chairs.
ONLY 6 places available!

About Jessie

Jessie De Salis is a Somerset-based textile designer and screen print artist, known for her joyful, hand-printed fabrics created from her rural barn studio.
Originally trained in textiles, Jessie discovered screen printing during lockdown, when she began experimenting with traditional techniques using salvaged equipment in a makeshift studio. What started as a period of exploration quickly became a defining creative practice—one that allows her to oversee every stage of the design process, from initial concept through to the final printed cloth.
Her work is characterised by bold colour, playful pattern, and a deep connection to the natural world—drawing inspiration from shifting landscapes, flora and fauna, and the enduring influence of Bauhaus design.
Jessie prints all of her fabrics by hand in small batches, embracing the subtle variations and imperfections that make each piece unique. Working primarily with organic linens and water-based inks, her practice is rooted in a commitment to sustainability, craftsmanship, and slow, intentional making.
Now working from a Barn studio, set in her Granny's English country garden with her cousin in Somerset, Jessie has been featured in a range of interiors and print publications, and continues to build a distinctive body of work that sits between art, textiles, and interior design.
About Leigh-Anne

Leigh-Anne Treadwell is an upholsterer and founder of the Bristol Upholstery Collective, known for her expressive, design-led approach to furniture.
With a passion for playful colour, bold combinations, and thoughtful detail, Leigh-Anne specialises in creating bespoke pieces that sit somewhere between functional furniture and individual works of art.
Her practice is rooted in traditional upholstery techniques, reimagined through a contemporary lens—often combining unexpected fabrics, trims, and finishes to bring new life to old forms.
Working closely with clients and students alike, Leigh-Anne is particularly interested in the relationship between fabric, form, and personality—helping others to make confident, creative decisions and develop pieces that feel truly their own.
Alongside her studio practice, she teaches upholstery with a focus on accessibility, collaboration, and creative exploration, supporting both beginners and emerging makers to build skills and confidence.
Her work reflects a belief in well-being through craft, individuality, and the joy of making something completely bespoke.
