Join our Box Cushion Sewing Weekend and build your confidence in sewing techniques to produce a bespoke box cushion, over 2 fun days.

Most Armchairs have loose cushion seats, otherwise known as ‘Box Cushions’. These are often piped and have a zip to make the cover removable, commonly found on Ercol, mid-century, Parker Knoll Winged Armchairs or Sofas.

This weekend course is aimed at those already involved in one of our leisure chair upholstery courses (covering any loose cushions is excluded on these courses) or those wanting to tackle a stand-alone box cushion project.

To make the most of this course you should have a reasonably good level of sewing machine experience and have used your own sewing machine to produce a number of soft furnishing projects already such as a piped scatter cushion. If you are completely new to sewing you MUST attend the Beginners Sewing Skills Weekend course before booking onto the Box cushion sewing weekend.
