Since the 1920’s Dartington has had a deep love of furniture, textiles and upholstery.

Leigh-Anne Treadwell (known for her creative upholstery on BBC One show Money For Nothing and director of the award-winning Bristol Upholstery Collective) presents an overview of the craft of traditional upholstery looking at issues of sustainability, craft economy, new materialism, herritage skills and values.

The talk features an insight to approaching furniture renovation in a sustainable way and looks specifically at Dartington’s historical crafts scene, including the re-upholstery of sofas at Schumacher College.
